DIRECTOR, LAUNCH PROJECT MANAGEMENT

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Relationship Management

  • Establish and manage relationships with stakeholders and coordinate interdependencies.  Key stakeholders include school and school system partners, 3DE staff, local JA area office staff, and third parties/vendors.

  • Serve as a resource to stakeholders, providing timely follow-up and supporting documents, and information

  • Steward select external stakeholder touchpoints, e.g., school visits and planning meetings

 

Operational Support

  • Schedule and coordinate key launch activities.  Examples include school visits, school/facility walk-throughs, and recurring planning meetings

  • Manage shared files and calendars tied to launch processes

  • Manage student enrollment data/tracking toward year one enrollment goals

  • Identify and execute on opportunities to scale the 3DE school launch process through efficiencies, documentation, templatization, and best practices

 

Project Management

  • Develop, revise, maintain, and operationalize a detailed internal project plan to ensure successful 3DE school launch within a school. 

  • Develop comprehensive but user-friendly project plan tools to be utilized and shared with external stakeholders - including school system/local school staff stakeholders and local JA area office partners – as well as internal stakeholders including 3DE national, local, and regional staff.

  • Monitor and track progress toward short- and long-term goals, escalating to management as needed and ensuring launch deliverables are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope

  • Manage risks and take corrective measurements to ensure accomplishment toward goals

 

Qualifications / Skills

  • Ability to work positively with a wide range of individuals

  • Ability to find innovative ways to solve problems and consultative skills (consultant experience a plus)

  • Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques

  • Ability to demonstrate management of multiple large-scale initiatives and cross functional teams at the same time

  • Ability to understand and track data

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

  • Ability to travel

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or Business or broad-based field

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred

  • Experience working with school systems, schools, and/or start-ups preferred
