Student Engagement: The Foundation of 3DE Impact

 Our impact starts with a powerful foundation: student engagement. 

Research consistently shows that when students are deeply invested in their learning, they attend school more regularly, achieve at higher levels, graduate at increased rates, and leave better prepared to thrive in life and career.  

That’s where 3DE comes in. In the 2024–25 school year, 3DE saw a 93% increase in students reporting seeing relevance in school—a powerful indicator that learning feels meaningful, connected, and real. 

That’s because 3DE is where rigor meets the real world—creating engaging learning environments that expand opportunity for all students. 

One rising 3DE junior shared: 

“3DE is transformative. I never expected to be part of something so immersive and engaging—something that allows you to interact with the real world. We’re able to see how what we do in the classroom can help us in the future.” 

Another student spoke to the power of relevance: 

“3DE was the first time I was genuinely interested in going to school and being actively present in class.” 

When students are invested in their learning, they show up—in body and effort.  And showing up is the first step toward long‑term success.
